It’s painful but I Can Bear It

⁶ While Jesus was in Bethany in the home of Simon the Leper, ⁷ a woman came to him with an alabaster jar of very expensive perfume, which she poured on his head as he was reclining at the table.When the disciples saw this, they were indignant. “Why this waste?” they asked. ⁹ “This perfume could have been sold at a high price and the money given to the poor.”¹⁰ Aware of this, Jesus said to them, “Why are you bothering this woman? She has done a beautiful thing to me. ¹¹ The poor you will always have with you,^[a] but you will not always have me. ¹² When she poured this perfume on my body, she did it to prepare me for burial. ¹³ Truly I tell you, wherever this gospel is preached throughout the world, what she has done will also be told, in memory of her.¹⁴ Then one of the Twelve—the one called Judas Iscariot—went to the chief priests ¹⁵ and asked, “What are you willing to give me if I deliver him over to you?” So they counted out for him thirty pieces of silver. ¹⁶ From then on Judas watched for an opportunity to hand him over.

After having gone from Nazareth to Jerusalem doing well and nothing short of the glory of God Almighty, Jesus Christ is found in Matthew: 26 with a plot of betrayal on his head.

However the most probed question of all time is; was the plot against Jesus about his head or his anointing?

 It had to be his anointing because his betrayer(Judas Iscariot) does not go to the chief priest not until an alabaster Jar of precious oil is poured unto his head.

There is something precious on your head that keeps on attracting the forces of evil and darkness.

 They are attracted to you because they want to finish you off before the beginning of the divine assignment above your head.

The word of God is of power, the power of God is of the anointing, the anointing of God is of the authority of God, the authority of God is of the assignment of God, the assignment of God is of the favor of God and the favor of God is of the dominion of God.

God Almighty anoints the head with power so that the anointing on your head will be in position to carry out the assignment over your head.

Without the anointing there is no assignment and once the anointing of God is poured on your head the evil one quickly comes up against you more often than not bearing pain in order to cause you to fail in the assignment over your life.

Every now and then the devil attacks you, his attack is aiming for your head because your head carries the anointing of God Almighty to accomplish the assignment and to fulfill the will of God Almighty upon the earthly.

The attack against your life is fundamentally painful but you can bear it.

It’s painful to know and to discover that after having done all that there is to do, some people actually are still in full indignation when something good happens to your life.

How dare you think that I deserve nothing incredible when there is in fact an incredible anointing on my head to accomplish an incredible assignment over my head!

It’s painful for people to debate on whether you deserve a reward off your sweat even though your good works cannot be hidden.

Jesus has healed the sick, given sight to the blind, resurrected the dead but yet still in Matthew 26:7, his very own disciples are offended over the good work that has been wrought upon Jesus.

They are offended because they cannot bear the pain of seeing such precious ointment being poured on one head.

 Can I tell you something, there are some people who are offended and stressed because God anointed you with his precious oil in order for you to do his precious will upon the earth.

They are offended because there is too much anointing oil on you, they keep on wondering why all the waste when there are so many people in the world needy of the anointing.

However, what they do not understand is that everyone who needs the anointing oil of God Almighty does not actually get it.

 They do not get it because it has to be given by GOD TO WHOM HE IS WELL PLEASED WITH so that it can trickle down from the top of one’s head towards those who need it.

Henceforth with this understanding, I stand boldly and declare that the anointing of God on my head is precious and if it was to be given to the poor then they would be instant millionaires but it was given to me so that the poor actually get it from me in joy and gladness.

So don’t you get offended now, because of my anointed self, because my anointing is what you need to become super rich and wealthy.

It’s my anointing that you need to do well, to receive clarity of vision and interpretation of your dreams in the mighty name of Jesus Christ.

It’s painful but I can bear it because I understand the attack on my life is designed to wipe out generations but because of the anointing of God which is precious enough, I am not going to lose none of the members in my generation.

Why? Because the anointing of God over my life is fighting not just for me but for my generation, if I can survive it so will an entire generation survive…….Glory be to God Almighty.

One of the most grievous of things to the heart is to awake one morning and find out that the person-hood of your best friend has always been looking for an occasion to betray you and to destroy you.

Some people are after your proximity not because they are fascinated of your gift and assignment in God but because they have been assigned by the kingdom of darkness to cut your head off because you are a major threat to the operations of the devil.

Too much familiarity is an occasion for betrayal, Judas Iscariot dipped his hand in the dish at the table during the feast of unleavened bread and immediately after a short while, he betrayed Jesus our Lord and salvation.

He is our Lord Savior because no amount of betrayal could knock him out of his assignment for good. We may fall and fail but just for a little while because soon or later we shall arise again.

We shall arise again because greater is he that is within us than he that is in the world.

No weapon formed against you shall prosper and every tongue that rises-up against you shall be but condemned.

Sometimes when you are walking through a painful season and a sorrowful time, the last thing that you need is to be alone and all by yourself.

In Matthew 26:38-Jesus said unto Peter and the two sons of Zebedee”tarry ye here and watch with me”.

 He told them to watch with him because his soul was exceedingly sorrowful even unto death.

Ironically, even though Jesus had the close company of three, still the pain would not go away but it only seemingly became all the more intense.

Till it dawned unto him that he had to go further away from the company of men who would not take away his pain nor interpret the same but into the presence of God.

A presence which can only be accessed through total submission to God in prayer, he sought the presence of God because it was the only place that would interpret and explain the pain he was going through.

While Jesus prayed in the Garden of Gethsemane his best of friends were sleeping on him.

Have you ever been at a place in your life when the people who should have been there for you in your time of desperation and distress easily decide to sleep on you.

You expected them to be there for you but now they are sleeping on you.

They are sleeping on you at a time when you need them much.

However you keep on going on because what you are enduring is for the will of God and because it’s for the will of God, you can bear it.

 It hurts now but it will help you later, one of the most powerful testimonies of your life is those born out of pain.
