Honor

Genesis 32-22&33-15

The place where the iconic Nelson Madiba Mandela was jailed and imprisoned for over two decades during the apartheid era is presently a place of Honor and a place that is revered by many.

Its revered because Nelson Mandela (RIP) was imprisoned there for two decades and when he was released, he become more Honored than his contemporaries that did not go to jail.

My dear friends simply because your contemporaries are not in the same place of struggle as you find yourself thereof, does not mean that there are more blessed than you seem.

As a matter of truth when your struggle is over you will then find out that you more blessed than all of the people who did not have to endure as much as you have endured during your time of struggle.

The struggles that you have endured are the reason why your life is going to be that of an iconic figure.

The iconoclastic nature of your life is justified by the struggle that your have just come out of.

When Jacob walks away from the greatest struggle of his life, he does so with victory.

And the victory is symbolized by his new name and the blessing of God that has just come into his life.

Ironically, Jacob has nothing to show for his victory and blessing in tangible sense and because he has nothing physical to show for his blessing his own family does not celebrate him, hug him, cheer him, nor congratulate him for his victory against God.

They do not celebrate because Jacob did not have any thing tangible in terms of spoils to show for his victory.

As a matter of fact if they were anybody who celebrated Jacob, it was not his best friend but his long time foe and brother- Esau.

Immediately after the struggle with God, Jacob who is now Israel by revelation and by virtue of the blessing of victory conferred unto him by God.

He walks away from the struggle with the knowledge, wisdom, and understanding of victory, Glory, and Honor alongside an injured hip.

So when his family sees him for the first time after the struggle, all that Jacob can show is an injury that is seemingly a negative impact on his life.

They do not see the blessing yet but they see him limping and the only time they honor him is after telling them the narrative behind his struggle with God.

So my dear friends you have just walked out of your struggle and the first thing that comes out of sight about you seems to be negative to the people who are casually observing you.

All they see is the money and the possessions of wealth that you lost while in the heat of the struggle.

All they see are the people who walked out of your life during the struggle.

All they see is the weight that you lost while in the struggle.

All they see is the health issues that you have suffered because of the struggle.

All they see are the wounds, scars, pains, insults, shame, embarrassment, and the humiliation that you have suffered during the struggle.

What they do not appreciate and realize is that during the struggle, you acquired unique wisdom, knowledge, and understanding.

And that by virtue of your newly acquired knowledge, wisdom, and understanding God has blessed you with a new outlook, a new perception and a new holy disposition.

And the blessing that you have received from the struggle is the warranty for your victory, glory, and Honor.

Immediately Jacob’s family, friends and contemporaries heard the impact of the struggle which he was embroiled thereof, they forthrightly honored his injured hip to the extent that they made it a point throughout Israel’s life-time.

Never to eat the tendon near the hip socket because of what happened that night when the man strained the tendon of Jacob’s hip during the heat of his struggle with God.

According to the understanding and disposition that is within the American Navy, the reason for your honor is in the wounds, scars, and injuries that you suffered during your service to the nation of America.

Conversely, every wound that you have suffered is the reason why you are honored.
In addition, allow me to tell you, that has been through a struggle;” every scar, wound, injury, insult, embarrassment, humiliation, shame, and every thing that you have lost during the struggle in the context to your service to the Kingdom of God is becoming the warranty for your Honor”.
Every area of your life that has been negatively impacted by the struggle or due service to God is instantly being turned into a place of Honor in your life.

And the universe will honor your life based off the wounds that you suffered during this struggle.

It’s an honor to walk in life with proper balance and when everything is upright, but whatever your struggles took away hence leaving you imbalanced and down right.

God is compensating you by replacing everything you suffered with tangible realities that cause about exceeding joy and celebration.

Do not be surprised immediately after you have come out of one of the most challenging periods of your life and your family does not celebrate you, but instead talk but you on the basis of what you have suffered and lost.

The person who is going to celebrate you is the one whom you least expect, the one who comes from a far distance and from the place of God, from another nation, the one who you expected to harm, and hurt you and bring more hell and trouble in your life.

The one who you have not even been thinking about, the ones coming to celebrate you will celebrate you even before they ever find out about your struggle.

This will be so because the victory, glory, and honor of God on your life is becoming visible and whoever celebrates it will partake of the same.

Esau saw Jacob and he decided to celebrate Jacob instead of harming, hurting, and hating on Jacob because he understood that God was with him.

Don’t ever make a mistake to harm, hurt, and hate the one God has blessed because a curse will come upon you. When yo
