2015: Favor, Wealth, and Increase

Genesis 30:25-55

In genesis 30-:25-55 there is a man by the names of Jacob and there is a man by the names of Laban.

These two men are relatives: Laban is Jacob’s uncle and Jacob is a nephew to Laban-Jacob is a Hebrew and Laban is Aramean.

The God of Jacob is an invisible God but the gods of Laban are visible and breathless.

The fundamental essence of the aforementioned statement is of such that if your God is invisible and full of breath then he must be the creator of heaven and earth.

 On the other hand however, if your god is visible and breathless then he must be an idol.

 It’s here and now that it’s important to notice that both Laban and Jacob are relatives who come from different tribal dispositions.

Jacob is Hebrew-which means that he comes from a long line of men whose devotion, trust, love, submission, humility, and obedience is deeply engrossed in the breathing invisible God who has the propensity to set in motion everything visible.

However even though Jacob and Laban are close relatives their relationship is one that is far be it from cozy.

It’s far from cozy because Laban keeps on abusing the rights of Jacob.

Laban keeps on going against the desires and the hopes of Jacob even though Jacob’s response is nonchalant.

Jacob’s response is nonchalant because he understands that the struggle he is enduring with Laban is not one that is physical but rather he understands that his struggle with his uncle Laban is a struggle between gods.

It’s a struggle between the invisible God who created heaven and the earth against the visible gods of Laban.

My dear friends its here and now that I want us to carefully consider the fact that every battle and struggle that you are going through right now is not your own but rather it’s a struggle between your God and the gods of your adversaries.

Every human being has his own God; sometimes your God will go into warfare with another person’s god most especially when those people are in an effort to bring you down and to cut you off from ever realizing a decent way of life.

Jacob’s life was carrying the promise of God and because of that, God was mandated to fight for Jacob whenever Laban abused, cheated, and manipulated Jacob.

Jacob did not have to fight Laban at all, all that Jacob had to do was to sit back nonchalantly while trusting the Lord God.

My dear friends every now and then you receive a promise from God people will most certainly rise up against you but every now and then people rise up against your God will rise up against them and fight on your behalf.

Jacob spent 20yrs in Laban’s dominion however the first time Laban started fighting Jacob was the first time 

God started fight Laban on behalf of Jacob. 

They were no results to show that God was fighting Laban on behalf of Jacob but surely the Lord God was fighting Laban on behalf of Jacob.

Sometimes your continued love, faith, and trust in God is the only evidence that God is fighting for you against your adversaries because if God wasn’t fighting for you then you would have given up on loving, trusting, and being faithful to God.

Jacob continued and to be faithful to God and Laban even though Laban was abusing his rights because God was fighting on behalf of Jacob.

When you are carrying a promise from God over your life people will hurt you, attack you and fight you.

 The people who will be fighting you will actually be the people closest to you.

They will be your brother, sister, mother, father, cousin, nephew, and even the person you call your best friend let alone your lover.

  

They will all turn against you because your life is carrying a promise from God (favor).

Henceforth you know that you carrying a promise from God when best friends, your relatives, and even your lover turn to pulling you down.

However when the people whom you expect to have you covered turn against you; God will with immediate effect begin to fight for you , and when God begins fighting for you the results will not be instant.

And because they won’t be immediate victory, your adversaries may think they are winning even though they are losing.

Whatever progress they make will only but be a divine setup for their ultimate defeat.

Laban turned against Jacob for 14yrs but God was fighting for Jacob throughout those 14yrs.

They were never any immediate victory for Jacob throughout the 14yrs and hence Laban thought he was victorious.

However in the 15^th year the scales were tipped and the tables were turned around in Jacob’s favor, and suddenly Jacob began experiencing the favor, wealth and increase underpinned by the Glory of God that was fighting on his behalf.

There was a wealth transfer and a period of increased wealth for a period six years.

 Thus making Jacob far more blessed than Laban ten times more.

In 2015 every one that is carrying a promise from God upon their life is going to experience total victory and blessings that are ten times more than those of everyone that played you and left you for dead.

They thought that victory was theirs but things are turning around as a result of the fact that God has been fighting for you since your enemies started going against you and now that God has finished fighting so is the victory that he has achieved on your behalf going to be made manifest immediately you glide into 2015.

As it has been said earlier on, that the struggle between Jacob and Laban was not only a struggle between two relatives but it was a struggle between gods, it was a struggle between gods that ensued for 14yrs and in the 15^th year the God of Jacob prevailed on behalf of Jacob.

This is indicative of the fact that Joseph who symbolizes the favor of God was born in the 15^th year.

 God made a wealth transfer from Laban to Jacob in the 15^th year of Jacob’s stay in Laban’s dominion by making sure that whatever Laban’s flock gave birth to belonged to Jacob.

And six years later, God executed the final assault on Laban by using Rachel to confiscate Laban’s idols, which is indicative of the fact that God prevailed against the gods of Laban and he even took them as captives.

Consequently Laban was left void of a god figure in his life and for that reason he pursued Jacob.

He pursued Jacob not because of anything material but because he was void of a god-f figure.

My friends, while in life you can lose everything but never afford to lose your ability to hear and respond to the voice of God.

Jacob’s God figure was his faith in the God of his ancestors which was underpinned by his ability to hear and respond to the same.

On the other hand, Laban’s god-figure was his idols.

 
 And once they were taken captive by the God of Jacob he was left with no God. Having no God meant that he didn’t have protection, and safety in life.

This is the reason why Laban makes a covenant with Jacob immediately after he fails to find his idols.

 He makes a covenant with Jacob, a covenant which was meant to play the role of a god-figure in his life.

Essentially after the covenant Jacob become the God of Laban-the protector and salvation of Laban.

In 2015 there is going to be an experience and an occasion for wealth transfer in the life of everyone that is carrying a promise of God upon their lives.

And this is going to be reinforced by the glory of God that is going to be operational in your life in 2015 just as it operated in Jacob’s life in the 15^th year of his stay in Laban’s domain.

For six years the glory and victory, and the favor of God was on Jacob’s life and so will it be on your life come 2015.

Jacob worked for Rachel for 14yrs however in the 15^th year Rachel brought forth a son by the names of Joseph.

Joseph is symbolic of favor and wealth.

Joseph is not just a son to Jacob but the power of the spirit of God that galvanizes, attracts, and gathers wealth on behalf of Jacob.

The day Joseph was born is the day when Jacob began to prevail over Laban.

The day Joseph was born is the day when Jacob began to obtain favor, wealth and increase by the power of the Almighty God.

Thus in 2015 there are going to be a bringing forth of favor, wealth and increase into you life by the spirit of God.

Everything that you invested your life’s efforts into is going to obtain and experience the favor of God.

And once your work in God obtains favor it will then attract great wealth and increase unto you.

Subsequently making 2015 your year of great favor, wealth and increase.

God does not want you to get even with your adversaries but he rather desires that you prevail over your adversaries.

And in order for you to prevail over your adversaries, it’s important to understand that every now and then people rise up against you ought not to take matters in to your own hands because that will only place you on a level of being even with your adversaries.

 However if you trust in the God who fights for them who carry his promises upon their lives, then in due course you will most definitely prevail against your adversaries.

When Laban rose against Jacob, God began fighting for Jacob even though it looked like Jacob was defense-less.

And because it looked like Jacob was defense-less, they were a notion that Laban was winning.

However in the 15^th year Jacob’s stay in Laban’s domain, God began to prevail over Laban on behalf of Jacob.

Jacob began prevailing over Laban because God was fighting on behalf of Jacob.

Henceforth in 2015 you’ll prevail over your enemies because God has been fighting for you right at the same time when your enemies started fighting against you.

In 2015, you will discover that everyone who brought shame, embarrassment against you will come to a place of understanding that the idea of rising up against you does not guarantee any prosperity or any blessings.

In 2015 you’re adversaries will come and make a peace pact with you because making peace is their only guarantee of protection, and safety because the Lord your God would have prevailed over the god of your enemies.

Hence leaving your enemies with no protection except the protection and safety that comes with making a peace treaty with you just like Laban made a peace treaty with Jacob because his idols had been defeated by the God of Jacob and taken as captives and prisoners of war.

Consequently in 2015, God will submit, humble, your enemies before you as prisoners of war, Plus everything that has been standing in the way of your progress, success and victory.

In 2015 your adversaries will no longer fight against you but they will fight for you.

 Once you examine the scriptures, you will with no doubt come to understand that Jacob worked for the glory of God for 14yrs and the results were most frustrating.

 However in the 15^th year, the glory of God started working for Jacob and the results were fulfilling and satisfying.

Thus in 2015, the glory of God is going to work for every one carrying a promise of God upon their lives and the results shall be satisfying and joy-bringing.

For 14yrs Jacob believed God even when it seemed as if he was losing at the schemes of Laban and because he trusted that God was fighting on his behalf, Jacob was able to prevail against Laban and Laban didn’t know how it all happened.

In 2015 you will walk in favor, wealth, and increase because God has prevailed against your enemies and they won’t know how you prevailed against them because they thought that they had left you for dead and out.
