I HAVE CONTROL OVER THIS STORM
Mark
4:35-41
35 That day when evening came, he said to his disciples, “Let
us go over to the other side.” 36 Leaving the crowd behind,
they took him along, just as he was, in the boat. There were also other boats
with him. 37 A furious squall came up, and the waves broke over
the boat, so that it was nearly swamped. 38 Jesus was in the
stern, sleeping on a cushion. The disciples woke him and said to him, “Teacher,
don’t you care if we drown?”
39 He got up, rebuked the wind and said to the waves, “Quiet!
Be still!” Then the wind died down and it was completely calm.
40 He said to his disciples, “Why are you so afraid? Do you
still have no faith?”
41 They were terrified and asked each other, “Who is this? Even
the wind and the waves obey him!”
The greatest probed
question that has always lingered within
the Rolodex of my mind is how come Jesus
sits in a boat that he well knows is about to be accosted by a deadly storm and
he is not bothered.
Until I discovered why he was not bothered;
Jesus was not bothered of the coming of the storm because he
knew that he had power over the storm.
They are people who
often times than not look at you going by and by your days seemingly ordinary
without reckoning that even though you are shrouded in what looks like a
visible ordinary shell of a body………….
But you are not ordinary.
If I may put it aptly you are extra-ordinary.
One of the character straits of ordinary men is embedded in
their propensity to be reactionary rather than responsible every now and then
you are suddenly be faced by a storm, a situation, and a circumstance that is
life-threatening.
In the portion of the
scripture above, we see the reaction of the disciples as ordinary men;
conversely we see the response of Jesus as an extra ordinary man.
The disciples,
immediately after recognizing the threat of the storm, they begin to shake
Jesus out of his cool-laid, arguing, “Teacher do not you care if drown (and that
we are about to die.”)
While Jesus stands up
and commands the wind “be quiet and he said to the waves be still.
Every now and then ordinary men are being faced with a life –threatening
storm-situation, and circumstance.
The fear of eminent danger arises to the occasion among
ordinary men, whilst extra-ordinary men alight with faith in the face of
eminent danger, because they fully understand the power within their grasp and
the propensity of that power to reverse the threat and the storm against their
course and their destiny.
The threat is reversed and turned around by standing up to
it and speaking against it.
I speak to your storm by the power of God granted unto me
through my faith in Christ Jesus.
”Be quiet and be still”
MY FAITH IN GOD MOVES & CRUSHES MOUNTAINS
Mark 11:24-25
New
International Version (NIV)
24 Therefore I tell you, whatever
you ask for in prayer, believe that you have received it, and it will be yours. 25 And when you stand praying, if you hold anything
against anyone, forgive them, so that your Father in heaven may forgive you
your sins.”
Matthew
15:28
28 Then Jesus said to
her, “Woman, you have great faith! Your request is granted.” And her daughter
was healed at that moment.
One of the iconic figures central to my life, a man I proudly
call my mentor and spiritual Father, a man who has been my influenza for over
8years now-Dr.Jamal Bryant.
The founder of the Empowerment Temple AME church in Baltimore Maryland.
Found himself sited on the front row seat at the Potters House Church in Dallas Texas waiting to hear
Bishop Eddie Long preach at the 2002 pastors and leaders conference as
organized by Bishop T.D Jakes.
Suddenly just like out of the blue one of the security
personnel at the potters House Church spotted him and walked over to him and
told him that he had to shift from where he was sited to some where else
because the place he sat himself was preserved for the VIPs and he was not one
of the officials on the VIP list let alone considered that very important a
person.
Four years later Dr.Jamal Bryant was invited back at the
Potters House Church to preach a word from God that was designed to take the
entire congregation to a whole new dimension in the blessings of God.
Oh pity..what shall I say about pity.
My dears friends seasons change and when seasons change the one
who was not considered unworthy and a VIP, the one who was not qualified for
the blessing just like the Canaanite woman in Matthew 15, the one who was pity
attractive will be the one you will be seeking after a blessing.
So I better warn you all not to try and pity me because you
see me being surrounded and entangled in a messy kind of a situation.
Because if you can be wise enough and look beyond the mess
you will understand that am a miracle and a blessing getting ready to explode.
I am about to go off because
my great faith in the son of God
Almighty”Jesus Christ” moves mountains it does not matter the size of the
mountain whether it be Mountain Everest or mountain Kilimanjaro or even mountain diabetes.
I t moves mountain and it
throws them a far off.
If it does not throw the mountain a far off from my way then
it crushes the mountain before me.
Whether it be intimidating as mountain Rwenzori or as thick
as the Table Mountain in cape Town South Africa.
My faith in (Jesus), the son of the living one crushes mountains
before me and I can see even right now mountains of diseases crushing before me
just at the mere calling of his blessed holy name……Jesus
My faith crushes mountains

The Shofar Anointing
22 Then the Lord
said to Moses, 23 “Take the following fine spices: 500 shekels[d] of liquid
myrrh, half as much (that is, 250 shekels) of fragrant cinnamon, 250 shekels[e] of fragrant
calamus, 24 500 shekels of cassia—all according to the
sanctuary shekel—and a hin[f] of olive
oil. 25 Make these into sacred anointing oil, a fragrant blend,
the work of a perfumer. It will be the sacred anointing oil. 26 Then
use it to anoint the tent of meeting, the ark of the covenant law, 27 the
table and all its articles, the lamp stand and its accessories, the altar of
incense, 28 the altar of burnt offering and all its utensils,
and the basin with its stand. 29 You shall consecrate them so
they will be most holy, and whatever touches them will be holy.
30 “Anoint Aaron and his sons and consecrate them so they may
serve me as priests. 31 Say to the Israelites, ‘This is to be
my sacred anointing oil for the generations to come. 32 Do not
pour it on anyone else’s body and do not make any other oil using the same
formula. It is sacred, and you are to consider it sacred. 33 Whoever
makes perfume like it and puts it on anyone other than a priest must be cut off
from their people.’”
The subject of the anointing is ever
more and increasingly becoming very interesting as much as its operations
complex to keep abreast with.
The anointing whose morphology is a
mixture of the finest spices (Liquid myrrh, sweet smelling cinnamon, sweet
smelling cane, cassia), and olive oil.
Olive oil is in fact no ordinary element as
the case is stipulated in Exodus 30:22-33.The anointing oil is extra-ordinary
in the very sense that it was used and it’s still used to this present day in
the effort to separate ordinary men from extra-ordinary men, holy from unholy,
and natural from supernatural.
Exodus 30:29, suggests in no uncertain
terms, that whoever is anointed is dedicated unto God and can’t be harmed by
anything under the sun for he is under the protective covering of the power of
holiness which potentially causes harm to any intruding factor outside its
course.
Furthermore, in dealing with the
intricate operations of the anointing we will agree that it’s the very presence
of God Almighty manifesting within the oracles of men. Either through
alteration or intervention where change and prevention have long been overdue
to the extent of hopeless-ness and helpless-ness, to the very point where the
desires of one are completely meet and satisfied.
The entire procedure and process of manufacturing the anointing oil is based on the mostaria/ the mystery that it must leave behind a residue, a portion of evidence and a degree of affect as much as a level of impact in the very place where it has been or where it is.
This mystery is physically experienced in
the finest spices/ perfumes that embody the anointing oil. These fine spices
are not only precious and rare but they are also expensive.
Conversely everyone
who has a desire to have a relationship with the anointing must be willing to pay
the cost/ the price.
And the price surely does not have to be low and cheap but
rather high and expensive.
However in an interesting turn of
events those who believe and follow the lord Jesus Christ can be glad in
understanding that even though the price/ the cost of the anointing is wholly
high and expensive.
Jesus
paid the cost and the price on the cross upon the hill called Calvary.
That is
why he goes on to tell his disciples somewhere in the secret scriptures’ will
send you a helper, a counselor, and a
comforter” surely in the helper after him, Jesus is talking about the holy
ghost anointing whose cost as per the New testament is total trust and believe
in the awesome name of Jesus.
The Holy Ghost anointing is a constant help when
we can’t even help ourselves, our defense and strength- when we seemingly
caught-up in the circumstances that are void of any physical defense mechanism
and in situations of our deepest weakness.
The true uniqueness of the anointing is
of such that it’s always leaves a residue behind so that anybody who comes
after it will evidently sense it’s effect and presence even when its long
gone.
1 Samuel 16:”The Lord said to Samuel, how long will you go on grieving over Saul?
1 Samuel 16:”The Lord said to Samuel, how long will you go on grieving over Saul?
I
have rejected him as king of Israel. But fill your horn (shofar) with oil and
go to Bethlehem, to a man named Jesse, because I have chosen one of his sons to
be king.
Ever since time immemorial the storage
of the anointing oil had always been in either the alabaster jar, or in
containers like bottles but in the 16th chapter of the 1st
book of Samuel, we come across on interesting scenario where the Lord God
Almighty instructs the prophet Samuel to fill his ‘horn’ with the olive oil
with the sole aim anointing one of Jesse’s sons as chosen king.
In this regards when we make a careful
analysis of the horn that is being spoken hereof; we realize it is none other
than the rum’s horn or rather the traditional Hebrew shofar.
The oil used anoint king Saul as king
of Israel was poured from the jar-an open headed container of substance that can
be massively accessed by many.
In contrast the Oil the prophet Samuel
anointed David with in chapter 16-13 is one that is poured from the shofar-a
closed container of substance which can only be accessed by a few. Its special
as much as unique, it’s the anointing of mighty warriors for it equips its recipients
to war with the motivation of assured victory.
It’s a weapon all in itself a weapon
that seems weak on sight but effective by faith. It’s the force by which the
stones of David brought down Goliath to utter shame. It’s the victory of a
nation and the strength of God amidst a nation that is crest-fallen and demoralized.
The Shofar anointing it made David a
threat in the sight of King Saul even though King Saul was in a prominent
trapping than David. It favors man in places that they are disliked even though
the haters cannot cut you off.
It’s 4; 00AM ON THE 14TH OF May 2013
and the Lord God revealed it to my heart.”It’s the shofar anointing that causes
a man to win battles that no one has ever won.
It’s the same anointing that
causes a man to be helped and comforted even in the most helpless and
uncomfortable of situations.

Keep on Believing
John 14:1. “Do not be
worried and upset” Jesus told them. Believe in God and believe also in me.
With the ever
changing seasons come, and so do the ever increasing lack of prediction in
regards to the circumstances and situations that shape the realities of our day
and time.
Depression,
stress plus anxiety are ever more increasingly becoming a difficult ordeal.
You
can awake in the morning and choose to see situations and circumstance as they
present themselves before you upon the theatre stage of your life or choose to
see everything through the eyes of God Almighty in the Lord Jesus.
It’s
frequently said, that the reality of one’s life is only but a result of the
perception they have towards every bit of experience that they are interfaced with.
Thus on that
wise, avoiding anxiety and stress may not be easy to navigate if they is a high
sense of dependence on one’s understanding of the central situations that are
pivotal in shaping one’s life on the daily basis.
In the 14th
chapter of the book of John the Apostle, Jesus is clearly seen endeavoring to
deal with the anxiety and the worry that has inevitably cropped up severely in
the hearts of his disciples.
They are
worried and depressed because they realize that Jesus is about to be gone from
their midst and as a result of this, they do not know what the future will hold
once they are not with Jesus anymore.
They have
walked away from literally everything they knew and now they live by a
different set of rules which are furthermore estranged from their past
experience of live.
They are worried because they cannot comprehend
how in the world they will be able o live the Christ-like lifestyle without the
navigation of Jesus himself.
In the
present new era, many of us have give almost everything we know how to give to
the devotion of the Lord Jesus and yet still they is an anxiety looming around
our lives because we do not yet see things going from glory to glory like the
God promise stipulates, instead of things getting better they have only gotten
all the more worse.
And worse
things have gotten the more worried and upset we have become and we have even
slowed down seeking, following and studying of God’s word.
We have
slowed down because we are not sure yet as to what it shall amount to or
whether they will be a fundamental change and a real-time difference.
But whether
you still have some energy to believe or not there is a place that is being God
–prepared for you a place where worry does not belong nor reside, this place is
the manifestation of the fulfillment of the promise of God over your life. It
shall come to pass…..that vision, that promise, and that genuine desire. So worry
not just keep on believing he is a Truthful God whose word is to be believed
and praised. Amen
